New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream

The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is designed for Foreign Nationals who possess the skills, education and work experience needed to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy. Candidates must meet the program’s minimum eligibility requirements, have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick Employer and have the full intent to live and work in the province on a permanent basis.

This program will also help New Brunswick employers, unable to fill job vacancies with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, recruit foreign nationals and international graduates whose skills are needed in the province.

New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream

The New Brunswick Business Immigration stream is an economic immigration pathway for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to establish, operate and actively manage a business while living and settling in New Brunswick permanently.

Applicants under this stream must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for age, language, education, personal net worth, business ownership and/or senior management experience, and business concept. Eligibility requirements must be met at the time of the EOI, application and nomination. Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee that you will be nominated.

The Government of New Brunswick (GNB) reserves the right to consider only certain types of new businesses or the purchase of existing businesses for economic development. Decisions are based on the economic situation of the New Brunswick labour market, current inventory, yearly nomination allocations distributed by IRCC, and any other factors determined by GNB.

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream

The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is designed for Foreign Nationals with the skills, education and work experience to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy, who are ready to live and work in New Brunswick and meet the requirements for each stage of the Express Entry Stream.

Working for a New Brunswick Employer

  • A letter of employment from the employer must be provided
  • The applicant has a valid Canadian Work Permit; a pdf copy must be provided
  • The NOC Code for current employment is for a position that matches NOC Level 0, A, or B: NOC Code must be provided
  • The applicant must have valid language test scores (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF Canada, TCF) with scores equivalent to CLB 7 in all four language competencies: test scores and a pdf copy of these test results must be provided
  • The applicant must have a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) which attests to the minimum equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma: a pdf copy of the ECA must be provided.

 

Enrolled in a PGWP eligible program at a post-secondary institution

  • The applicant must be physically living in New Brunswick
  • Proof of enrolment must be provided
  • The applicant has a valid Canadian Study Permit; a pdf copy must be provided
  • The applicant must have at minimum one year of previous work experience in a position that matches NOC Level 0, A, or B: NOC Code and employment letters must be provided
  • The applicant must have valid language test scores (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF Canada, or TCF) with scores equivalent to CLB 7 in all four language competencies: test scores and a pdf copy of these test results must be provided
  • The applicant must have either a valid Canadian diploma or an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), which attests to the minimum equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma: a pdf copy of the diploma or the ECA must be provided.

New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream is for French-speaking workers with the skills, education and work experience to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy, and who are ready to live and work in New Brunswick permanently.
